Decidieron llevarlo al departamento. Le hicieron una camita con una caja de fósforos y lo dejaron junto con los playmobils para que se divierta. Pasaron los días y se dieron cuenta de que estaba triste. Antonio dijo que él creía que extrañaba a su mamá y su papá. Decidieron encontrarlos. Llamaron a todas las granjas cercanas hasta que una les dijo, acá están los padres del caballito chiquito!!! Fueron todos juntos en auto a la granja, el caballito fue corriendo a encontrarse con su papá y su mamá. Relinchaban de alegría. Antonio y Sofi sentían pena de dejarlo ahí, por lo que decidieron llevarse a toda la familia al departamento. Les armaron una casa con bloques de madera y fueron todos muy felices.

Fran and Jim go to the beach. Fran’s parents and Jim’s parents are there. Fran, Jim and both of their parents are from the Turks and Caicos Islands. Fran takes off her slippers and feels the sand between her toes. Jim runs towards the sea; he couldn’t wait to get into the water. Before reaching the water, Jim pauses, looks around and shouts to Fran to go into the water with him. Fran starts to run towards Jim then stops before reaching the water. Jims asks “what’s wrong? Don’t you want to go swimming with me?”. Fran looked a little sad and said “I want to go swimming but I don’t know how. I am afraid.” Jim tells Fran, “don’t be afraid, I have something that can help you to learn how to swim. Come with me.” Jim then runs towards his parents and shouts to his mother, “mommy, can you please give me the arm floats?”. Jim’s mother took out the arm floats from her beach bag, and gave them to Jim. Jim gave one to Fran and said “here, blow that float up and I will blow this one up”. Fran and Jim each blew up one arm float. Then Jim said “Now slide these up your arms. I will help you. They will help you to float in the water.” After the floats were on her little upper arms, she held out her arms and started to walk towards the water with Jim. Jim went into the water up to his knees first. Jim then turned and reached out his hand to Fran and said “come in the water with me”. Fran held his hand and walked into the water with him. As Fran went further into the water, she then exclaimed to Jim “I can’t feel the bottom with my feet anymore!”. Jim then laughed and said, “that’s because you are floating”. Then Fran realized that the arm floats were helping her to float. She then laughed and shouted to her parents saying “Mommy, Daddy, I am floating!”. Her parents waved to her smiling and Jim’s parents were also smiling. Fran and Jim then had fun laughing and playing in the water together, while both of their parents looked on, smiling. Fran and Jim had the best beach day ever.

One morning, Lina’s parents took her to the market. In the center of the square, they stopped in front of a big red dragon statue. The dragon sparkled in the sunlight, and Lina was curious.“What’s this, Papa?” she asked. “It’s part of the Lunar New Year celebration,” father said. “It’s a special time to welcome the new year with family, food, and traditions. Oh! We almost forgot—it’s tomorrow!”Lina wondered what it would be like to celebrate Lunar New Year. The next day, Lina was playing outside when her friend Tian ran up to her. “Lina! Would you like to celebrate the Lunar New Year with us tonight? It’s going to be fun, with lots of food and a dragon dance! ”Lina’s eyes lit up. “I’d love to! But I don’t know much about it.” “That’s okay,” Tian said. “I’ll tell you! It’s about family, and showing kindness to others.” That evening, Lina and her parents went to Tian’s house. Red lanterns hung everywhere, and the table was full of delicious food “Red brings good luck,” Tian explained. “That’s why there’s so much red during Lunar New Year!” After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. Everyone cheered. At the end of the night, Tian gave Lina a small red envelope. “What’s inside?” Lina asked. “Open it tomorrow,” Tian said. “It’s for good luck!” The next morning, Lina opened the envelope and found a shiny coin inside. She thought about the celebration and how kind Tian had been to invite her. Lina smiled and promised to share kindness in the new year. After dinner, Lina watched the dragon dance. The dragon swayed and spun to the beat of drums, and everyone cheered.
