The children want to start collecting plastic bottle tops to recycle with Lids4Kids. They meet a nice volunteer who will drive their lids to Canberra for them. Then they send a letter home to their families and ask them to collect plastic bottle tops from milk bottles, pop bottles and water bottles. The children enjoy washing the lids in warm soapy water with their family (and pet dog). Next week all the children bring in a bag of lids each. Together they group the lids into colour groups. The nice volunteer pick them up and takes them to Lids4Kids in Canberra. The lids are then turned into a rainbow colored park bench. The teacher surprises the children by buying the rainbow park bench for their playground.

The story is about three firedogs named Derek, Jackson, and Henley who work as a firefighting crew at Miner Fire Station #5. One day, they receive a call about an out-of-control campfire at a nearby campground. The firedogs quickly respond, rushing to the scene in their special truck named William Watermoore. Derek takes charge, directing Henley to hook up the hoses and spray the lower flames, and Jackson to ready the ladder and pass him another hose. The crew works efficiently to battle the fire, but William Watermoore's water tanks run dry. Jackson comes up with a clever solution, stretching an extra hose to the river so William Watermoore can pump water from there. This allows Derek and Henley to extinguish the remaining flames, successfully putting out the fire. After the fire is out, the firedogs provide fire safety tips to the campers, emphasizing the importance of having water and a shovel nearby, clearing the area of dry brush, and preventing forest fires. The crew returns to the fire station, cleans their gear, and washes William Watermoore. They congratulate each other on a job well done, highlighting the importance of teamwork and quick thinking. Exhausted, they fall asleep, ready for their next call.

"You remembered!" he whispered, his voice choked with happy tears. Mama Cat chuckled. "Of course, we remembered, sleepyhead! We just wanted to make it a really special surprise. We planned this all along!" Papa Cat winked. "We even managed to keep it a secret from your little sister—that was the hardest part!" That night, surrounded by the warmth of his family and friends, Whiskers blew out his candles, making a wish for lots more secret surprises and many more happy birthdays. It turned out to be the best surprise birthday ever!

The Sun wondered why the clouds always blocked it. “Why do they stop my light from reaching the Earth?” it thought. “Maybe the Earth prefers the clouds over me.” These thoughts made the Sun feel even lonelier and less important. It began to believe that its light was no longer needed. “Perhaps the Earth would be better off without me,” the Sun sighed, feeling lost and unsure of its purpose in the sky. One day, the Sun gathered its courage and decided to speak to the clouds. “Why do you always cover my light?” it asked with a heavy heart. The clouds floated gently and answered, “Oh, dear Sun, we don’t mean to block you. We are here to protect the Earth from too much heat and to bring rain that helps plants and animals survive.” The Sun was surprised by the clouds’ reply. It had never realized that the clouds were not trying to compete with it but were actually working alongside it. “So, we’re working together to take care of the Earth?” the Sun asked curiously. The clouds smiled and said, “Yes, your warmth and light are as important as our rain. Together, we keep the Earth balanced.” Hearing this, the Sun felt a sense of relief and pride. It understood that even when its light was hidden behind the clouds, it was still making a difference. The Sun realized it wasn’t alone; it had a vital role in supporting life on Earth. From that day forward, the Sun shone brightly with joy and confidence. It and the clouds worked in harmony, ensuring the Earth stayed warm, nourished, and full of life. The Sun learned an important lesson: everyone has a purpose, and even when its light wasn’t always seen, it still mattered deeply.

My daughter is 5 and her name is Kayleigh. She has autism and speech delay, but she is now starting to talk after being non verbal her entire life. I want to encourage other little kids to never give up. Autism and speech delay looks different for anyone dealing with it. You are amazing inside and out and you should always believe in yourself. Kayleigh began using a speech program on her ipad at the age of 3. She's been in ABA therapy since she was 2.5 years old and Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy since 6 months of age. She's overcome many challenges but she is smart as a wip. She communicates very well with approximations and sign language and has very good receptive language. Kayleigh is such a bright little girl who has a heart that is full of love. Her and her mommy are best friends and love to sing together while listening our favorite Beyonce' song "Energy". She loves bubbles and also driving her 5 electric cars/jeeps. She also loves her pets Bella and Milani.
