It was a chilly December morning, and the Johnson family was busy setting up their Christmas tree. Dad, Kendrick Sr. hung the last ornament and asked, 'Who's ready for some fun in the snow?' Outside, Kendrick Jr. and Anna-Louise worked on the snowman, adding a scarf and a carrot nose. Meanwhile, Kenton lay on the ground, making little angels in the snow. 'Look, I'm making a baby angel,' he giggled. Robin watched her children play and said, 'Aww, Kenton, that's so sweet.' Kenton then began to build a tiny snowman and proudly declared, 'Look, I'm making a baby snowman.' After playing in the snow, the family went inside for hot chocolate and cookies. Robin pulled out a secret envelope while everyone sipped their drinks. Kendrick Sr. asked, 'Alright everyone, who wants to open the envelope?' The kids shouted, 'Me! Me! Me!' Robin smiled and said, 'Let's all open it slowly together.' As they opened the envelope, they saw a tiny card with big blue letters saying, 'It's A BOY!!!' 1. John Jr and Nazut went on an exploration of their neighborhood. John Jr stumbled upon a Visa Versa Japanese Backward ticking watch. John Jr puts it on and then he and Nazut are Hippies in 1969. They are at a crowded music festival called Woodstock. Janis Joplin gets on stage and starts playing Mercedes Benz. John Jr and Nuzut loved that song and started singing along. The watch Jimi Hendrix play. 2. John Jr removes the watch and the he and Nazut are back in the neighborhood walking. Nazut then sees an odd Championship Belt hanging in tree. Nazut puts it on. John Jr and Nazut find themselves at a WWF wrestling match. They see Macho Man slam Hulk Hogan down and then holds him for the 3 count. John Jr's favorite part was when Rowdy Piper came out in kilt playing bag pipes. Nazut removes the belt. 4. They are back walking around neighborhood. John Jr sees the street lights come on and head back home. Once home John Jr and Nazut get ready for bed.

Page 2 One day, with tears in her eyes, Hannah prayed, “Lord, if You give me a son, I will give him back to You to serve You all his life.” Page 3 The priest, Eli, saw Hannah praying and said, “May God grant your request.” Hannah believed in God’s promise and left the temple full of hope. Page 4 God answered Hannah’s prayer! She gave birth to a baby boy and named him Samuel, which means “God has heard.” She loved him dearly. Page 5 When Samuel was old enough, Hannah kept her promise. She brought him to the temple and said to Eli, “God has blessed me with a son, and now I give him back to serve the Lord.” Page 6 Samuel grew up in the temple, learning from Eli. One night, he heard a voice calling, “Samuel! Samuel!” He thought Eli was calling him, but Eli said, “I did not call you. Go back to sleep.” Page 7 The voice called again, and again Samuel ran to Eli. But Eli realized it was God speaking to Samuel! He told Samuel, “Say, ‘Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’” Page 8 Samuel listened, and God spoke to him. From that night on, Samuel became a great prophet, guiding Israel and teaching them to follow God. Page 9 Hannah’s faith and promise led to Samuel becoming one of the greatest leaders of Israel. 1. John Jr and Vasi were bored and started to brainstorm ideas that they could do. John Jr's mom heard and told them about a new kids museum in town. John Jr was excited, so they packed up some stuff and headed to the museum. 2. They arrived at The Museum of Children's Creations. The admission was free for kids. Once inside they were amazed. Everything in the museum had been made by a child. 3. The first thing they saw was a trampoline. John Jr and Vasi jumped around on it and Vasi did some cool flips. Then they saw some toy trucks that a 6 year old had invented. John Jr was really impressed by that. They saw braille used by blind people, Popsicles and magnetic locker paper all had been created by teenagers. 3. John Jr saw ear muffs and crayon holders were also invented by kids. John Jr was really surprised at the inventions of children. 4. John Jr and Vasi saw that Ben Franklin started inventing stuff as a young boy with his invention of swim flippers. They thought it was really neat that Christmas lights were also a kids idea. But the thing that amazed John Jr and Vasi was the invention of the snowmobile. 5. John Jr and Vasi bought a souvenir and headed home. They were trying to think of something they could invent. They possed an unmatched sense of wonder and possibility.
