The walls are made of blue bricks, and the narrow entrance makes the kids curious. **Page 4** Emma points to an ancient well and says, “This well is where villagers get their drinking water, and it has many stories!” The kids gather around the well, listening carefully. **Page 5** They visit the Tin Hau Temple and see the shiny statue of the goddess. Lily says, “This is Tin Hau, who protects the villagers. Everyone comes to pray to her.” The kids bow their heads in respect. **Page 6** At the Song Ling Tang (the ancestral hall), they see old plaques and carvings. Jack says, “This place honors the ancestors of the Tang family. It really feels historical!” **Page 7** The kids listen to villagers tell stories about Lung Yeuk Tau, especially the legends about pirates. They imagine how brave the villagers were to protect their homes, feeling really impressed. **Page 8** As the trip ends, Jack, Lily, and Emma go home with lots of memories. They promise to share the stories of Lung Yeuk Tau with more friends, so everyone can cherish this cultural treasure!

One day the library media center had an unwelcomed visitor. This visitor was not an ordinary human. This visitor was not even human at all. It was from Mars. It was Martian. And it was a fly. Not a little fly that we see buzzing around out doors at picnics trying to land on juicy watermelons. But a huge fly. Almost bigger than the hand of a Pre K student. This fly was from Mars and it loved to read books. So, one day when the door to the library media center was left open by a student, this Martian fly flew right in. He was in fly heaven. He went from book to book and read how to live on Earth. What to eat to not make his belly hurt. And how to avoid humans. He was having the time of his life. Until one day, he made a big mistake. The media specialist and her assistant Miss Bee and Miss Crystal saw him in the nonfiction section. They didn't know that he was an alien. They assumed he was a mutated fly that was so big that he might bite one of their students. No matter how hard they tried they were unable to catch the fly. Soon, they gave up because they had a job to do and that was to make sure all students could come in and check out great books to read as well as help students with their Chromebooks. So Miss Bee decided to trap the fly in another room so no student could be harm by the fearsome creature.

As the elegant poodles pranced around the ring, Auggie sat in the corner, pretending to be all dignified. But when the judge announced, “Best in Show,” Auggie couldn’t contain himself. He let out a fart so powerful that it blew the toupee off the mayor’s head. The crowd gasped, and Auggie wagged his tail proudly. He knew he’d just won the unofficial title of “Most Explosive Performance.”

Her curiosity takes her on a journey to discover what meditation is about and finds her learning the marvelous practices of meditation, skills which she is hoping to teach her older brother in an attempt to combat their sibling rivalry. The Arabella Series is based on the quote by the Dali Lama “If every eight year old was taught to meditate, we would achieve world peace in one generation” and is written to bring an awareness of energy healing and practices such as meditation to children around the world. It is my vision to create kind and magical role models for children, to light a spark in them that encourages compassion, forgiveness and love.

He opened the cupboard and found his best pair, A loaf of white bread with a crusty brown hair. “Now let’s spread butter, nice and smooth,” He grabbed his big knife and made a cool move. With a scoop and a swirl, he spread it with care, “Oh, how I love butter! It’s light as the air!” Next came the veggies, all crunchy and bright, Lettuce and tomatoes, such a lovely sight. He washed them so gently and sliced them with cheer, Stacking them neatly—oh, what fun, oh dear! “Now for the meat!” Sammy clapped with delight, He opened the fridge—what a wonderful sight! Turkey and ham, piled high with some cheese, “Just look at this goodness! I’ll eat it with ease!” “Don’t forget mustard! It adds a big zing!” He squeezed on a dollop—oh, what joy it can bring! Then he topped it with pickles, so crunchy and round, “A yummy sandwich! It’s the best to be found!” He placed the last slice on top with a thud, And gave it a press with a big happy “thud!” “Now, let’s cut it in half, so easy to share, I’ll take one to my friends, with love and with care!” With a plate full of sandwiches, Sammy did grin, “Making a sandwich is such a win-win! It’s fun to create, with flavors to mix, A sandwich adventure—a tasty fix!” So if you feel hungry and don’t know what to do, Just follow Sam’s steps, and you’ll make one too! With bread and some goodies, your snack will be grand, Just like Sammy McSandwich, oh so well planned!

The rivers dried up, the crops turned brown, and the villagers didn’t know what to do. 火, with his fiery spirit, said, “I’ll climb 山 and find a way to fix this!” 水, always the voice of reason, said, “I’ll come with you. We’ll solve this together.” As they climbed the mountain, the air grew warmer, and the ground rumbled softly. At the top, they found a glowing crater filled with fiery embers. 火 picked up a burning rock and said, “Look! The mountain’s fire! Maybe we can use it to help the village!” But 水 shook her head. “Fire alone won’t solve everything. We need water too.” Suddenly, the ground shook, and the mountain began to rumble. 火 dropped the rock, and 水 closed her eyes, whispering, “Please, 山, help us.” To their surprise, the mountain listened. A cool spring bubbled up from the ground, calming the rumbling and sending fresh water down the mountain. The water flowed into the village, filling the rivers and bringing life back to the plants. The villagers cheered, and 火 realized that his fiery energy worked best when balanced with 水’s calm wisdom. Together, they had helped the mountain and saved the village.
