Our memory and our brain are amazing! However, it does not record our lives like a book! You cannot go back to a previous chapter to retrieve memories accurately. Attention issues, prior knowledge, and memory decay all interfere with the actual memories that are stored. There are so many different parts to our memory that all work separately and together to help us experience and remember life. Your task is to create a children's book about manny the monkey that creates a story highlighting KEY concepts for each aspect of memory: Encoding, Storage, & Retrieval. Your book should be like a “cliff notes” of memory and should walk me through these processes in an easy to understand manner. The story is about how a little dog named Coco lost his parents. He lived in Istanbul, in a cold gray city. For about 3 months he was looking for a way to his parents. He drove for 10 hours in a car with strangers. He flew for 12 hours in luggage on a plane. He was scared, whining, crying. And finally he found his parents on the island of Phuket. He cried, jumped with happiness and was the happiest dog. Now Coco lives with her parents by the sea.

Students enter their new classroom in Room 102 at Danforth Gardens Public School. There are 5 boys and one girl. They arrive on a school bus. They feel happy to be in a new school. They meet their new teachers Mrs.McIntosh and Ms.Natasha. The students learn about the classroom rules and meet their new classmates.

The boy sees a rocket being launched in the TV. He wants to make his own rocket. He looks around for cylindrical objects and his father's workshop and find some cylindrical cardboard box. He paints it using his crayons and paint brush. He creates a rainbow colored rocket. Next heat thinks about how to launch it. The experiments with throwing it up in the air, experiments catapulting it into the air, experiments with throwing it from the balcony, nothing works and he gets discouraged. He didn't remember his father saying PET BE POSITIVE, MAKE IT EASY AND TRY. So he reminds himself of all the different successful experiments he has done in the past like making a castle, making a wheelbarrow, making a fishing rod. He then thinks how he can make his project easy and gets to trying again. He then lands up with launching the rocket by using the air coming out of the air pump piston that his father uses to fill up his bike's tire
