"Oh no!" said Ben. "My hat!" The hat went up, up, up. Then it went down, down, down. It landed in a tree. "How can we get it?" asked Sam. Pip jumped and jumped, but he could not get the hat. "I have an idea!" said Ben. He got a big stick. He poked the hat. Plop! The hat fell down. Ben put it back on his head. "Hooray!" said Sam. "The big red hat is back!" Ben, Sam, and Pip ran and had fun in the sun.

Haden Edwards received an empresario contract to settle 800 families near Nacogdoches. When he arrived with the families in the 1820s, he discovered people already lived there. They arrived long before Mexico gave him the grant. Edwards became very angry and tried to take over the town. The Mexican government did not support Edwards. Instead, they annulled his contract. Edwards stayed in the area and attempted to start a rebellion. On December 21, 1826, Edwards and his supporters claimed part of East Texas free and independent of Mexico. They named it the Republic of Fredonia. They even had support of the Cherokee in the area. However, most Anglo settlers in Texas did not support Haden’s rebellion. When a group of men from Austin’s colony joined with Mexican soldiers to march on Fredonia, Haden and his brother fled to the United States. The unrest caused Mexican leaders to rethink their immigration policies.

The end of the rainbow falls on tope of the parrot and butterfly and immediately turns the parrots grey features into a beautiful array of multicolora making the parrot the first one with multicolors in Brasil. Red Dragon was a friendly, happy dragon who lived at the library. Red Dragon enjoyed being with the children who visited the library, but Red Dragon missed Orange Dragon, who was also a friendly, happy dragon. The Friends of the Library (two older women, silver haired, 70's, glasses, kind, happy faces) visited Red Dragon and said they will try to find Orange Dragon. The Friends of the Library did some research at the library and found out where Orange Dragon lived. The Friends of the Library sent a letter to Orange Dragon asking the dragon to come visit Red Dragon. After a while the Friends of the Library received a letter saying that Orange Dragon was on the way to the library, but that it will take some time to get there as the dragon was far, far, away. The Friends of the Library and Red Dragon were very happy! They decided that it might be time to give real names to the two dragons, and they asked the children of the library to help.
